Hello Patrick

I saw two of your paintings at Morija Guest House and was really taken with/moved by them. Brigitte pointed me to this website and I think many of the paintings of yours shown here are wonderful - particularly your portraits. They seem "essential" in the full sense of the word. A few years ago I saw these words of Henri Cartier Bresson under a portrait entered for a competition at London's National Portrait Gallery: The important part for the portraits is not what their models reveal, but what they hide, and, above all, what they do not suspect is within them.
