Desc. : 'Hemingway's memories are still very much present in Havana and Cojimar, a small fishing village where Gregorio Fuentes was living. He was the model for Hemingway's “The Old Man and the Sea”. After he won the Nobel Prize in Literature for the novel, he said: “This is an award that belongs to Cuba because my work was thought and created in Cuba, with my people of Cojímar where I am a citizen. In all translations, this adopted country is present, here I have my books and my home.”
