Quick access :
I was born in Metz (57) in 1951. First "vagabond celeste"(celestial vagabond) in search of oneself and the Other, following the path of the "mythical" "route des Indes" in the mid-70s, then an unrepentant traveler driven by an incoercible thirst for knowledge and innovations in the footsteps of Ella Maillart and Nicolas Bouvier, I very quickly came to experience the need for photographic practice and, through image, to make those traveling who couldn't.
Tirelessly, for more than 40 years, I have known and shared the existence of many of these peoples who, from the Bosphorus to the China Sea, made great civilizations.
From India to China via Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, from a traveler I became a photographer.
In 2010, 3 months of travel in Southeast Asia, “in the footsteps of Henri Mouhot”, commissioned work by the city of Montbéliard and exhibition “le voyage” within the framework of “Utopies & Innovations” project initiated by the Métropole Rhin-Rhône.
Since the fall of 2003, I have been a member of the Centre de Ressources Photographie ( Photography Resource Center) in Lure (70) and have served as vice-president since December 2011. I actively participate in its operation while promoting my photographic work on the regional scene.
Numerous exhibitions from the end of the 80s, in Switzerland, then in Franche-Comté and Auxerre, allowed me to present a very figurative work first (travel relationship) but very quickly increasingly turning towards abstraction, which has become my first creative space in recent years.
The works are printed on dibond®, but different formats and supports are possible (plexi, classic paper or fine art) on request.
