Desc. :	The costume of Arlésienne is born towards the middle of the XVIIIth century of the wish of the inhabitants of the country of Arles (Mouths of Rhône) to get dressed in another way from other women. It evolved according to Parisian fashion and according to different epochs.The summer, a light shawl in muslin on shoulders and long enough hair to satisfy the requirement of the head-dress. This head-dress livened up with the famous cordon appears by 1835.
