Desc. : ‘Roses’ depicts a bouquet of red flowers, supported by a marble ledge. Plaster and pulverized marble has been used to create depth and texture to both the ledge and the flora. Wet paint was allowed to flow off and thru the contours of the ledge. This effect accents the texture of the ledge and adds to the overall effect of the piece.
