Quick access : sculpture bronze mixed media painting sculpture | ![]() Art?ras Tamašauskas is a contemporary Lithuanian sculptor whose “Steampunk” creations stand out for their uniqueness and expressive power. Tamašauskas works with a rich variety of materials—antiques, everyday objects, and fragments once discarded or forgotten. Through transformation, these overlooked elements are granted a second life and a new artistic dimension. His works have entered the collections of Steampunk enthusiasts in Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Sweden, France, Poland, the United States, and Australia. For the artist, time resembles an inexorable circle, much like the worn mechanism of an old clock. He believes that each of us—whether working, creating, loving, dreaming, or fulfilling our role—takes part in an endless performance where we are both the actors and the directors. His preferred materials are fragments from flea markets and scrap yards, which he reinvents through the power of imagination, allowing them to be reborn in new forms carrying their own stories.
Reviving objects once destined for destruction brings Tamašauskas a profound sense of reconciliation. The characters he creates radiate a positive energy, imbued with surprise and wonder. Through his universe, the artist invites viewers into a dialogue between memory and possibility, between a reinvented past and a future alive with creativity. |
