Art?ras Tamašauskas is a contemporary Lithuanian sculptor whose “Steampunk” creations stand out for their uniqueness and expressive power.

While concrete and precise in form, his works invite viewers to move beyond the immediate appearance and reflect on deeper layers of meaning. Within interior spaces, his sculptures act as living presences, charged with both emotion and poetry.

Tamašauskas works with a rich variety of materials—antiques, everyday objects, and fragments once discarded or forgotten. Through transformation, these overlooked elements are granted a second life and a new artistic dimension. His works have entered the collections of Steampunk enthusiasts in Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Sweden, France, Poland, the United States, and Australia.

For the artist, time resembles an inexorable circle, much like the worn mechanism of an old clock. He believes that each of us—whether working, creating, loving, dreaming, or fulfilling our role—takes part in an endless performance where we are both the actors and the directors. His preferred materials are fragments from flea markets and scrap yards, which he reinvents through the power of imagination, allowing them to be reborn in new forms carrying their own stories.
