Ozden Odman

1979, Bursa. I lived with different aspects of arts since my childhood. I was trained as a ballet dancer for ten years, and as a folk dancer for nine years, and took drama classes. The background I have, based on my education and my personal and cultural experiences help me to proceed with what I want most in life, that is painting …

I received The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, Silver Key and Honorable mention from Cleveland Instıtute of Art, which made me realize that arts is not a hobby, but my be a way of life for me. When I returned to my country, I chose to study in Fine Arts/ painting at the Faculty of Education in Uludağ University, in my hometown. I had a solo exbition and have participated in nine different group exhibitions at the University Art Center. Before I graduated , I had my first out of school solo exhibition in Kitap Evi Art Gallery in Bursa.
I enjoyed studio works and drawing and painting classes most, in my university years; therefore I continued to paint freelance after I graduated. I have developed a style of my own, and made interior decoration paintings for houses and workplaces upon request. Well-known business companies, textile factories and Mayor of Bursa were among the people who requested my paintings. At the same time, I developed an Art Project called Kahvesaire Telvesile.
