 Nicole Pfund speaks to the eyes of adults with the language of childhood, one of fairy tale, poetry and dreams. She brings to life tall animals headed figures both elegant and sad. Nicole has made animals musicians of hybrid beeing who seems to play a nostalgic, beautiful music for her alone.The one black stain on these pale paintings, which are through washed by the rain of oblivion, is the strangely human look of these musicians which tells us unfullfilled dreams and of solitude, of hidden suffering and of a suspended time. Nicole's characters are the mirrors of the human condition. They are the reflections of our frailty and also for our strenghts. They play in colours, a discrete quiet music of the passing time and of love which is yet to come. | |
