Hélène Messier, born in Montreal, is now established in Cap-Rouge (Quebec) for nearly 20 years. She studied and worked as a pharmacist for several years and she now
returned to her first affinities, art.
In recent years she
has attended several sessions with watercolor Reine
Ouellet, Bertrand Rainville and Noriko Imai and participated in
workshops with Norbert Lemire and
Olivier Toupin. She
completed her training by studying the
American masters. She participated in
several group exhibitions in Quebec city and she is a member of the Watercolor Workshop
of Quebec. She was guest artist at the
XXII (2005) Watercolour Salon of the Canadian watercolor.
She is particularly
interested in color, light and motion in his paintings. Nature, its moods and colors
are her favorite sources
of inspiration. The impressions received are reprocessed through
the prism of the imagination and
recreated on paper - by selecting items of interest. The watercolor is for
her, a synonym of freedom and discovery. The nature of this medium made of movements, textures,
watercolors and often
unforeseen promotes creativity.
