Lisa Steeven is a contemporary painter, her style ranges from pure abstraction to impressionism with landscapes composed with small touches and strokes of paint. She uses mainly acrylic paint, and she particularly appreciates the modelling paste which gives the paintings a more sustained and deeper rendering when contemplating the works. She also likes the technique of glazing which also allows to improve the works and to arrive at original and modern creations. She also likes the use of real plants in her compositions which brings naturalness and modernity, she fixes them for that with a little texture. All her works are made on canvas frames, from the small 30 x 40 cm to the large 70 x 100 cm. Her favorite tools are scrapers, brushes and spatulas to coat, she also uses rags and water spray. Lisa Steeven is a new artist in the profession, she discovered herself in this art by chance and she learned modern and contemporary techniques thanks to videos, tutorials and books of other artists, all as exciting as each other, but her favorite domain remains the abstract painting and all that relates to the abstract landscapes, which one often associates with the impressionist style.
