Luc Grimo

Signs Grimo for reasons of graphics.
Born in 1939
Studies of Photography and Arts.

During 29 years, cameraman for the National French Television, lives intensely the Picture and the light's effects on our close universe.
At the same time, practice of drawing and oil painting, working with wood and stone for its first sculptures. In 1970, he begin to create joinings and sculptures with his material of predilection, the metal.
An old tool, full of past, filed, used, twisted, preserves its soul and all its dignity. Its first vocation is diverted between the hands of GRIMO, to give it a new born to a sculptural form, extracting it from the lapse of memory. It's a true second life for these objects used.
His work could be associated to the movement usually called« the Reutilism ».
