Born in Bafra, TURKEY 1961.Studied architecture at Academy ADMM ANKARA 1979-1981.She took basic formation of fine arts 1998-2002.AKYOL opened 5 personal and group exhibitions in Turkey.

I am a contemporary symbolist and figurative painter. My interests include mythology , turkish fairy tales and ancient history.
Why do I paint? To express the things that I feel. . I am trying to speak in my own language. It’s a matter of remaining faithful to oneself. I’m a figurative painter. I want there to be people in my pictures. I love people, animals,flowers. Everything that exists in this world is of interest to me. . I’ve always loved figurative art. If that causes reactions, so be it. I’ll still go on doing what I do.'
