Marina about herself.
I'm fascinated  by ethnic  motives from around the world,  and  I often incorporate them in the body of my work. I've spent a lot of time learning multiple  foreign languages  ( currently more or less fluent in 12), so probably  that accounts for my interest in different cultures.  My favorite  subjects include  Middle  East,  Africa, France, Italy,  Mediterranean countries,  India, Far East, South America , US national symbols, African American  culture,  New York and Native American tribal life. I often combine different  cultures  in a single  paintings  to emphasize the unity of the human race.

I'm especially good at portraits,  but I have also produced many landscapes,  nudes, genre paintings, ethnic paintings, abstract paintings, fantasy  paintings,  historical  paintings,  still lifes and  animalistic artworks.

Given my interest  in multiculturalism,  I'm planning to create a 10 ft by 7 ft artwork  dedicated  to the history of mankind in different parts of the world.  All of my current works could be classified as studies for that ambitious painting.
I've produced more than 300 works ( 150 oils and much  more). My favorite art medium is oil on canvas, but I also practice gouache and  watercolor painting method of my own,  although  nowhere nearly as frequently as oils. I'm also pretty good at portraits in pencil.
