 Silvaine Arabo was born in France (Saint-Jean d’Angély, Charente-Maritime). She was a teacher and then a head-mistress. She now devotes all her energy to painting.
She had many exhibitions in the parisian district the Marais (Thuillier and A part Galleries) ; in France ; China (Beijing - 2000) ; Japan (2008) in Amagasaki (Teramachi district), Nikko (imperial villa), Naha (Fine Arts Museum) where she obtained three prizes for her inks.
She also obtained a prize for her oil paintings (French-Japonese exhibition in Paris, Orangerie du Sénat, 2001).
Silvaine Arabo illustrated with her inks the books of many contemporaneous poets (in Encres vives Editions and Editions de l’Atlantique).
She works different substances (oil, pastel drawing, drawing charcoal, inks...). Painting represents for her a magical and sacred action.
By another way, she has published thirty books of poetry, three of aphorisms and two essaies.
She just has published the number 13 of her review of “Poetry art and thought”: Saraswati (devoted to the painter Josef Ciesla with also Claudine Goux’s drawings).
