 Claude LUCAS was born on April 2nd 1948 in Charente.
After studies not worth mentioning, he decided to travel all around the world, shooting documentary films that led him to Portugal, Brazil, French Guyana, Germany, Norway, Australia, New-Zealand, and several African countries. He also worked as a free-lance cameraman in Paris (France 2, Canal+ ...) for several years.
Ethnology, architecture, drawing, unity of the world under its apparent diversity, are the base of his reflexion, leading to a geometry of pure but significant lines enlighted by frank colors, resulting in a very personal style in which is revealed a discreet esoterism, inviting to meditation.
Every painting has a part of mystery : sine qua non condition to its timelessness.
