My name is Asniel Salvador Herrera and my artistic name is ‘Chuli’. I was born in 1987 in Camagüey, Cuba. I enrolled in the fine arts course at the Nicolás Guillén School for Art Instructors, where I stood out for my participation in events and exhibitions, was awarded prizes and honorary mentions and was chosen to teach drawing. From the year 2006 to this day I have been working as a visual arts instructor at the Máximo Gómez High School for the Sciences, Municipality of Camagüey.

During my career as an artist I have been able to find a place within the mainstream art gallery circuit of my country by way of 5 personal exhibitions and more than 30 collective exhibitions, which have brought me prizes, scholarships and honorary mentions. At the moment I am a member of:

(AHS) Saíz Bros. Association: the association for the young artists and creators of Cuba.
The Sailing Inside Group: a collective of artists that advocate creative diversity in the Municipality of Camagüey.

I have used different media such as drawing, painting, sculpture and public space interventions. My latest pieces show a pictorial character and fuse naturalistic painting with geometric and informal abstraction.
