Quick access : wood pannels canvas paper - cardboard | ![]() Born in Painting is for me an escape doorway that calls me sometimes in my life. I particularly like to study the African masks. They have a unique way to spur and haunt my creativity. It is a kind of obsessive passion! There are two periods in a painting: the first gives direction and the second life. What I like in a mask is the moment when it escapes my control to take a life of its own: When his mysterious side is truly revealed. I like to work on very different basis that go from paper, cardboard, canvas to richly textured wood panel. I will sometime use whatever I have close at hand when inspiration comes and on the contrary I will plan a creation in his totality (from the basis to the colors) well in advance. I work with several mediums which I often mixed: pastels, watercolor and acrylic that I sometimes enhance with images or textures. |
