Bertrand Beaufour

Hello,

Born in Normandy in 1953, I kept a delight ceaselessly renewed for the suggestive and mesmerizing atmosphere of uncertain hours. To suggest more than to show, to evoke more than to impose, such are the avenues of research that evoke in me the morning mists and the colors infinitely qualified by the changeable light.

Whether it is by the drawing, the pastel, the oil, the feather, the photo or even the ball-point, and now by interactive kinetic structures-sculptures, ( design motion), my work aims at lifting the veil a little on a nature conceived(designed) as an object to be described and as a subject to which the artist lends the word.

Merleau-Ponty writes in a work dazzling on Cézanne: " essence and Existence, imagination and real, visible and invisible, the painting blurs all our categories by displaying its dreamlike universe of carnal essences, effective resemblances and dumb meanings ".
