Vibrant! I see sacred geometries, calligraphies, wit and humour and depth. Passion. The grids, which really aren't, with the gesture of the hand and the very evident brushstroke, are bursting forth with energy. And there is memory, of paint, of life, as the colour is swept in swarthes through the colour fields. Beautiful work, Ludo. Magnificent.

Great thick paint drooping and dripping. Virginia put me onto this site, and what a great little system. The confident swirls of thick paint remind me of the Mingei potters in Japan, who decorate the already glazed pots with thick slip that then leaves a bold contrast. It all about having the courage to do it quickly and smoothly.
Do I see a small homage to Mondrian in there as well. Mondrian lives.

Among my favorites are Tascone: a beautiful palette with a doubled three on three theme which is at the same time potentially kinetic yet calming. Equare: the palette has an African feel to it, and the wonderful signature gives it boldness...a very masculine painting. Insight: It only appears simple at first...it carries an echo of Chinese calligraphy. Pre-Naissance: bold and intensely complex, filled to the brim with potential...quite lovely.
