Hassan alaoui started as a surealist painter and abstract then he moved toward a realistic painting. He made a deep study of the technique of the masters painters of 17th century suches Vermeer for whoes he painted several copies.

Fascinated by the beauty of the imperial city of fes hassan alaoui turned toward his birthplace he gave it magic auyra. He is particulary attracted by the hardy-gurdy lans of the medina the old doors the old plastered walls from which is transformed plastically into footing touches and glasis.

Also he puns on shades and lights whitch he projects on its canvances and when he paints the interior of the hurdy gurdy houses one especially smells a majic presence of timewhene the shadeof the painter in a corner is profiled.

Hassan alaoui sinse 1970 attended many expositions in different country. His works are in collection in spain germany emira arabe usa france and morocco.
