 Highlights
Cris Orfescu was born in 1956 in Bucharest, Romania. He moved to Los Angeles, United States in 1991 where he lives and works at this time.
Cris has been painting for 35 years experimenting with different media. He has been involved in a variety of projects: digital art, murals, acrylic and oil painting, faux painting, trompe l’oeil, graphics, animation, web design, logo design, and a backdrop for a TV show.
But, most important for his artistic development is the art – science interference. Cris dedicated the past 23 years experimenting and perfecting a new form of art, NANOART, which express the transition from Science to Art through Technology.
Education
Cris studied drawing and architecture in private, and attended different fine art workshops. But mostly, he is a self-taught artist.
He has formal education and a Masters degree in Materials Science.
