French Symbolist painter, born in 1950.

After a career in Paris in communication, Dominique Leuthold moved in the Rhone Alps in 1996 when she engaged since entirely to her passion: painting, practice it and teach it in all its forms.

It states in many exhibitions, art markets, galleries and other places in France and Switzerland.

Several series of his works have been acquired by institutional and private partners.

Dominique Leuthold is naturally attracted to the Far Eastern culture (more particulary in the art prints of ukiyo-e of the Tokugawa Japan from 1600 to 1867) but also by the subtle curves and sinuous arabesques of Byzantine art, preferred sources of research not only by the assimilation of the classics, but mainly to the accompaniment of his own journey to the symbolist and decorative themes.

For each it is itself the essence of things called life, but the artist to do well up the invisible, tracking the unknown, the deeper meaning of things and bring to the attention of the other in a gentle breeze and poetry to bring out an energy and momentum.

These works offer, suggest, mumurent through an aesthetic that is always ethical. An « ethics of ultimate love ».
