Self-taught painter, been born in 1947 in Creusot ( Saône-et-Loire), I arrive in Provence ( Martigues) in 1968, then settle down to Istres in 1984.
The colors of Provence, sea, blue coast will have a role determining on my envy to express me by the painting. In fact this need existed for a long time but had never come true.
It is only in 1978 that I decided on to dash into this activity.Technique in the oil at the beginning with portraits, landscapes, technical still then diverse lives in the water (gouaches, watercolors and drawings Indian ink and sepia drawing) to go towards the acrylic in 1982, technical which I like particularly

Indeed I like the spontaneity in the execution because she allows me to be more in the search for the felt rather than in the reproduction.

This technique answers completely my wish to paint landscapes, certainly representational, but completely imaginary in which I look for an atmosphere which corresponds at the moments necessarily stored in my memory. It can be translated as well by landscapes of snow (Burgundian obliges) that by Provençal landscapes.

The feeling of well-being or plenitude felt in a definite site can exist only through a climatic atmosphere of moment. The simple search for the optical beauty can satisfy only the eye, on any account she cannot, to her only, satisfy the spirit

The painting brings me moments of intense concentration which allow me an escape and a complete sweeping of the environmental concrete.
