decoration for childrens
poya (art populaire)
Gisele FISSON, 52 years, encouraged by my close relations, I finally dare to show what I make.
The history of an autodidact.
Since my childhood I have been attracted by many manual activities, one of which being drawing.
I then used a pencil because, as soon as I wanted to add paint, it was disaster.
I then abandoned because I thought that painting was not for me...Until 2002 ...when, on the insistance of my friend, I joined her in a training course on painting on wood for the creation of a "POYA".(transhumance)
This was the revelation!
My first realisations were acrylic on wood.
I taught myself, bought specialised magazines on painting on wood, and made small paintings boards for the decoration of friends and family children's bedrooms.
Through acquaintances I had demands to decorate barrels, churns and other wooden objects.
I get a great deal of pleasure to reproduce the slightest details with so much precision as my capacities allow.
The paintings boards which I present you today, are a selection of my first attempts,
but I do not plan to stop there
