Born in 1948 at Evreux, Christian Eurgal is a member of the Maison des Artistes, member of the des auteurs, and the member of the Arts pour UNESCO. Influenced by the Fauves, christian is famed for islandscapes in thick, glowing oil paints that he spreads across the canvas with a palette knife. This technique creates distinctives lines that catch the light, giving structure and body to the painting.

Christian exhibits widely both throughout France and internationally. His work is in collections in Australia, Germany, Belgium, Uk,denmark,Italy,Spain,USA,Canada,Hong kong, his 2005 collection at summers Art gallery Dorking marks his first UK exhibition

Eurgal wraps bis works in the exuberance of bis color and an imagination sprung from true emotion. The mood exacerbates silences, deepens mysteries and presages bewitching solitudes. savage nature takes precedence over the architecture of men and their close houses, bunched around their silence or by a lonely dingby composition and warm bues pave the way to the dream world of a poet, a true romancer of color.
