In the footsteps of Soulage, Hartung & Pollock, Rodolphe Cosimi launched into deeper personal.quest, as exemplified in “Coulures” (Colourmarks). These mineral-like colourmarks are now part & parcel of artistic self-expression. His experimenting with motion, fluidity, combinations resulting from a specific technique now impulses progressive knowledge of self, the others, time & space. This is what Rodolphe COSIMI’s work hinges on. “In our ever changing world, art & mankind feed on novelty of experimentation, taking them to places they wouldn’t venture to before & penetrating further each time into daunting strangeness. “Coulures” (Colourmarks) can be equated with man’s own confrontation with the world he belongs to, experiencing rejection, attraction, bewilderment… 2007 (Feb) : wrote & published Coulures (Colourmarks), (Aria’s Publishing House) Rodolphe COSIMI now devotes his time to painting, writing, all of those passions remaining closely-knit in his dedicated quest for self-fulfillment.
