Born in 1951, Jean-Marc TUDURY is currently living in Nîmes, since more than thirty years.
Self-educated, he learned during three years painting arts lessons in Nîmes and lands up with an impressionists’ touch.
Drawing holds a strong position in his studies and drafts. In painting, he works quickly, with ardour and passion, in larges tint areas by brush or knife.
Oil is one of his close companion to execute his canvas, but he does not reject working with acrylic on very large formats.
He likes to paint the light, body plastic, faces, emotion’s fleetingness, and snapshots.
For him, the world is only shapes and pigments. Nothing repulse him, every piece of life is yeasty.
Sensible and curious, it’s always with a new sight he discovers relieves, shades and colours.
Creative, impulsive, the desire always stronger to go forward in the beautiful obsolete.
Active member of regional clubs, he rub elbows with the circle of the artistic world during all year, participates to numerous competitions and expositions of regional paintings.
Experienced impressionist artist painter, his schoolmasters are Schiele, Cézanne, Morisot …
Max Jacob, French painter and writer said:
”It is at the moment where we cheat for the beautiful, we become an artist”
This citation became his own.
By watching the way he paints, there is no doubt: he cheats for the beautiful; he knows it and loves it.
