 G. Thomas started to exhibit her master pieces in the Seventies. Since then, she developed a nonfigurative expression, always loocking for different and unusual materiels to assert her sense of the composition. She finds inspiration in her many trips around Black Africa and the Sahel from where she brought back her secret pigments. Thomas paintings’ are powerful, energetic, sensual, translating the harsh symbolism of these countries, touching the human heart universality. In her blacks and ochres (tar) you will find sobriety and depth as well as her vision of the world, with transparencies like so many possible entries in the emotional world from where emerges the red blood of the wound.
