Steve Haes

This Belgian artist born in Brussels in 1977 has always been in touch with designing and reproduction. First at the Art Academy Genk-Belgium,in Audiovisual Arts and Photography, later in his passion for 20th Ct Design and Modern paintings.
Also active as Dj C-sense (Dr.Digit) and founder of the artist and musicians collective CommonSense.

Steve Haes paintings are often very personal, the figurative elements catch the eye of the amateur, permitting us to make our own personal findings. His Urban Art is in the first place a proof of quality, originality and very personal style.
His artistic inspiration can be found within the modern art of 20th century painters like Matisse,the Fauves Rik Wouters,etc ... but also by Pop Art; from Keith Haring to Roy Lichtenstein, not forgetting Warhol, Hockney and Rosenquist.
His paintings subjects include still lifes, portraits, and aspects of Urban or city life.He developed a highly personal realistic style, producing images saturated with structure and color that are uniquely in the moment and never staying still
