Ludolf Reinier Grollé - pre-Simulationist Abstract Expressionist
Raised in Europe and educated in the United Kingdom, Ludolf demonstrated his natural artistic ability early on.
Ludolf’s art has been shown in various venues across Europe and the U.S. and his work may be found in private and corporate collections around the world.
Ludolf has lived in Winnipeg since 2002 and turned professional in 2006.
Ludolf signed with Gallery Lacosse in April 2006, his principal representative in Winnipeg.
In July of 2007, the Winnipeg Art Gallery acquired several of Ludolf's pieces for their Art Rental and Sales.
Early 2008, Ludolf was signed by the John Bloxham Gallery in London. Mid 2008 Ludolf will be represented by Jean-Francois Sani in Continental Europe.
As one of the co-founders; charged with the Visual Direction, of the new “pre-Simulationist” art movement, Ludolf is fascinated by the influence of the virtual world afforded by the Internet, and cognitive science on how we see ourselves and the world around us.
Ludolf does not make reprints; every piece is an original but it is affordable and accessible.
This site currently displays mostly the Acrylic Originals on Paper - however there are many Framed and un-Framed canvas pieces available for sale ranging from $250 up.
