I was born on 29 July 1961 in a small Armenian village cut of the world. My birth was recorded 34 days later that's why I was born officially on 01 September 1961.
Few years later we moved to Yerevan where I completed my primary, secondary and high studies. The school was tedious for me and the teachers appeared rough savages to me. My grand pleasure of that period was the course of drawing at school and adventures in nature with my friends.
When I was 18 the state offered me a free voyage for 2 years in Russia, which was called mandatory military service. Two years of hell in the heart of the Red Army. The country was called USSR where the people ate well, got dressed well, even had the right to think with the permission of the KGB, of course, and if your thoughts were not very optimistic, they sent you to Gulag, to refresh your thoughts in the open air. In 1981 I returned to Armenia and I studied at the University of Fine Arts. Five years later I obtained the grade of Professor of Visual Arts. I worked for 2 years in a Fine Arts Lyceum. Then I worked as a Graphic Designer for an advertising agency. In 1991 I leaved Armenia for Paris, where nobody awaited me, with only 15$ in pocket.
