Joon-Chule Moon, Calligrapher, Painter, Chikung Master
Born in 1932, Seoul, Korea
From his sixties, Mr. Moon began his calligraphy and painting activities on a full scale. Mr. Moon has created modern artistic works using Chinese ink and acrylic. The mainstream of his works lies in abstract and visionary Western paintings. He has been also very active in working the themes of Zen, Chi, and health.
The works of Mr. Moon are expressed through ancient inscriptions, providing beautiful and delicate feeling. His works appear like words on one hand and painting on the other hand, by adding pictorial artistic features to characters.
Mr. Moon enjoys writing Chinese characters in various styles such as cursive style, grass style, etc. His works are remarkable in artistic value, but also emit unique Chi energy, and so have drawn wide attention of the public.
