I was born in Tourcoing in northern France in 1944. Considered without drawing talent at school, I was always interested by plastic arts. During my teacher career, I always tried to get acquainted the children with this domain and to develop their creativity in changing the support or the technical approach. Forgetting bad criticisms of my first drawings, I decided to have fun in creation of small watercolours. My privileged themes were flowers, landscapes or marine views. Retired in southern France, a small village of Herault sounded like a new departure. The landscapes and the luminosity of this region conquered me. My glance became more observant. I took part to workshops where I discovered pastels. Drawing became my passion to which I devote most of my time. I like to reproduce the houses discovered in the small streets of old southernmostvillages, the doors or the windows framed by old stones. I like to paint the wealth of nature. To answer to friends' solicitation, I realize sometimes portraits. I find my inspiration in a large panel of subjects, but my privileged technique is the pastels. This technique permits me to communicate with my creation using fingers in place of brushes or palette knife. Having receipt awards in several regional expositions, I'm now more confident. My first personal exposition "Couleurs du Sud" is organizes since June 2010 at "Clochers et Terroirs" cave (Paulhan - 34).
