Training 1996 oil Painting 2001 till now: self- taught artist sponsored by art of history, painting and computer graphics --------------------------------------------------------- Lionel Le Jeune, with his artistic maturity and his unique style uses colours and shapes in a lonely and exceptional mood. This young self-taught artist exploits lights and shade of urban ordinary scenes of our daily lives and captures them. All of his paintings have a concentration of subtle and sensible interaction of subjects and characters that attract us. Once we discover his works, we all start asking ourselves questions and questions: « who are those characters and subjects? Or where do they come from? » And that only answer always comes out: « from nowhere certainly. » The world becomes timeless and mysterious with no history, no present and no future but an imaginary one.
