Desc. : Jamaa al- Jdid ( ?????? ?????? " New Mosque " in Arabic ) is a historical mosque in Algiers. It is located in the neighborhood of the lower Casbah . It was built in 1660 by the Dey Mustapha Pasha in the Ottoman style . Its proximity to the sea also earning him his nickname of the Mosque of Fisheries . It is built of stone, marble, brick and plaster . The interior decor is made of ceramic and wood. ( Sce . Wikipedia ) .
