I am a 59 years-old representational painter. In 1995 I started painting with the help of teachers from the Art School in private studios. During the first year I tried everything - charcoal pastel,water-color, acrylic and oil painting - just to "see". But I simply couldn't resist oil painting which I can retouch again and again. It suits me perfectly. I am interested in various themes - flowers, landscapes, portraits, reproductions of well-known artists (e.g. Wermeer)-or of painters who are less famous. I use photos taken by friends or by myself. When I paint, I listen to my heart and if it doesn't sell, well, that is just too bad..... Lately I have been adding mixed techniques to my palette. I resort to these techniques whenever the subject lends itself to them. Recently I have also been trying my hand at trompe-l'oeil painting. I have been exhibiting at galleries in my town and around for seven years. If you have time, please send me your comments, especially the negative ones. They will enable me to improve.
