Quick access : ORIENTAL ABSTRACTION NON REPRESENTATIONAL REALISM Digital painting | ![]() WHY I PAINT
Why do I make paintings? To my esteem painting is nothing but a medium of expression. The term expression does include thought, or say as the case may be or in other words it may be described as the expression of feelings. The feelings which develop out of human values such as Joy, grief or sorrow, love and hate has got their roots in the depth of our mind. By uprooting them representing in the canvas- to my belief is painting. But the term painting if defined in this manner may seemed to be over simplified. This is because of the fact that the artists whose works are based on reality do not get proper appreciation, yet they are quiet skillful and needless to say they also have a considerable number of patrons. But nevertheless in my openion by and large there is an absence of imagination and mystery is associated with such paintings. As such these realistic paintings do not attract me in any way. I do not search for a representational language within a painting. I seek some other meanings. Infact perspective colour and space divison take away my feelings and emotions to some other world. The world which is not too prominent rather full of shadows and spiritualism. There I find non existent is more dominant than so called existent.Still I cannot deny it. This world can only be seen in my inner eye. The aesthetic beauty has always been the basic element of my works I have done so far. I would love to get your comments in my guest book. |
