Born in Provence, initiated to painting from its adolescence by his father, itself painter on a local level known near Avignon, JEAN-XAVIER COMBE, was plunged into the world of painting very early (organization of exhibitions, drawing class, company of confirmed artists)
Everything to long of his teacher's career and in the course of rather long stays, in Africa and in South Pacific, it has never ceased gathering in in its cardboards sketch watercolors and plans .

In the eighties he worked out several big frescoes decorating certain public buildings of the island of Santo
in Vanuatu (South Pacific)
Since his return in France, having participated in several practice on art, it took back regional exhibitions: Gordes, Roussillon, Avignon, Orange, saint Rémy, The Leases of Provence

Its oils of character impressionniste draw inspiration from reality my but by creating an atmosphere, a particular ambience, by using a palette of colours of course in hot and bright tones, JEAN-XAVIER COMBE gives us a very personal vision of the world and draws away to us in a very nice imagining that it is in its landscapes, his natures death his figures and his portraits since this artist seems inspired by very various topics ...
