Bruno Jonckheere was born in 1954 in Gravelines (northern France) and is an alumni of the Calais School of Applied Arts. In the early 70s, he chose to express himself through brushwork and was noted for the originality of his art.
He would then turn out to be an ornamental painter on earthenware and chinaware in the town of Desvres (Nord-Pas-de-Calais, northern France). His paintings were in the tradition of Rouen, Meissen and Moustiers, before he decided to set up his own atelier and to break new ground in the field.
His late encounter with computer hardware, and the range of possibilities offered by the graphic tablet, resulted in his newfound passion for computer graphics. His creations sometimes combine photographs and works of art.
