David was born on the 24th November 1970 in Nîmes (South of France).
Autodidact, he has drawn since he was a small child. First he wanted to be a sculptor!
Later on, he learnt fine arts in Calais.
He found taste in drawing, he has used many techniques in order to be devoted to oil and acrylic paintings. These techniques are his latest ones.
He has tried all sandhanks techniques: charcoaly, chalks, pastel. His numerous work will be on display.
He likes to try various things. For a while he painted with watercolors, which he mixed with other techniques to give a particular character to his painting.
Since a couple of years, David's work is mainly based on canva. David likes acrylic paint because of the quickness of drying which offers him a spontaneous work.
The oil technique with a drying time much longer offers him the possibility to repainted as many times as he wants.
His research is based essentially on the human being, his movement in space and the impact of his gestrual in the general atmosphere.
When he paints, it's like a mime artist working on his show in silence and with emotions.
Every painting crosses various techniques in order to escape the boredom.
Throughout the different types of paintings he looks for the discovery, the variety and he follows his own curiosity!
The human being is very used on David's work. Those who have been following him since the beginning of his career remember with nostalgia his musicians, his maternity, his faces with particular markings often with some interrogation, his nakedness, his ladies...
Recently the beach theme replaced the series of fruit paintings.
The floral theme also occupied for some time David's paintings, but a new serial symbolises the big modernity of the studio. It regroups themes already dealt, but this time closer to the abstract way.
Some paintings and sketches have been prize-winning (list enclosed).
The GRECI MARINO International Academy has named David as "Académicien Correspondant" in 2001, then "Académicien Associé" in 2002 and recently "Chevalier Officiel Académique" in 2004.
Most of David's exhibitions have taken place in France but also in Belgium (lists enclosed).
The paintings can be found now in private collections all around Europe...
Art World Ltd propose David's work in England.
