I started sculpting ten years ago when I arrived in the Poitou region of France. I discovered the limestone of the area which was used during the Roman Art period. I wanted to make current life sculptures but using the ancient methods and sculpting with traditional tools.
For my current sculptures I take everyday objects that we hardly notice. Paradoxically, we only appreciate them when we are without them. By sculpting these everyday objects I hope you will look at them in a new light.
Another paradox is that although my sculptures have no practical use, I hope you will not remain indifferent to them.
On a more serious level I also design and make sculptures on a variety of subjects including heraldry, the human form (nudes, faces, etc).......
