Piron: Dictionary of visual artists of Belgium of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. (EDITIONS ART IN BELGIUM)

Painter of a nice constance and really discreet, Serge Hendricks has been working on his taste for a figurative painting for a long time. This choice allows him to grow and give the colours the contrast they need therefore.

Lately, during the Exhibit at the Hall of Emulation in Verviers, he gave us the opportunity to see that. You could see some places well known by the local public, but also other paintings showing audacious chromatic interpretations suggesting country sides elements instead of describing them as they are for real. It seems obvious that Serge Hendricks is on the path that will bring him to his talent and research flowering.
