Pimba
 I first visited Gavdos, during the summer of 1988; a small island with cedar trees to the south of Crete, it is the southernmost point of Greece and Europe. Since then I have been living there for at least six months every year, whilst I was a permanent inhabitant from 1996 to 1998. In Gavdos I «baptized» myself Pimba, which in the local dialect means «complete» - just as I feel while being on the island. Inspired by the shape of the cedars, I started to curve the wood... | |
