Laurent Botella

Born on June 30th, 1974 in Nantes, I practise the painting since the age of 16 years.
My debuts began in the rural home(foyer) of Aussonne ( 31 ) with the artist Mahité Rovino who taught me the oil painting. Two years later I began the pastel which I practise now regularly. My favourite subjects in the pastel are nudes and portraits which adapt themselves very well to this technique.At present, my work is directed to the meaning portraits. The caratère of a person is visible on its attitudes and its expressions and its glance, and it is for what I try to highlight of my paintings(boards). I want that the person who looks at my picture(board) feels the emotion of the subject as if he(it) was real.
