Born in Normandy in 1953, I kept an amazement ceaselessly renewed for
the suggestive atmosphere and envoûtante of the uncertain hours. To
suggest more than to show, to evoke more than to impose, some are the
research tracks that evoke in me the morning mists and the colors
infinitely shaded by the changeable light.
Whether it is by the drawing, the pastel, the oil, the feather, the
photo or even the ball-point, my work aims at raising a little the veil
on a nature conceived not as an object to be described but as a subject
to which the artist lends the word.
Merleau-Ponty writes in a dazzling work on Cézanne: " Essence and Existence, imagination and reality, visible and invisible, painting blurs all our categories by spreading its dreamlike universe of carnal essences, effective resemblances and dumb meanings ".
