Painting is a way of expressing myself and validating my love of art. I was born in Miami, Florida and have lived in many parts of the United States for 58 years. Now my husband and I live in Yuma, Arizona where the summers are hot, and the winters are mild. Yuma is inundated with elderly visitors from the northern states and  Canada in the winter. A lot of the elderly here are ill or have a spouse that is ill. I have played golf with someone one winter and the next winter have heard they passed away. The last painting I did was of a man and wife. She is in a nursing home. He commissioned me to paint their portrait to pass on to their children.

Most of my work is from word of mouth. My online website is to show examples of my work, and also of other local artists.  I only paint for local residents. Sometimes my images are taken from photographs that people give me, but I prefer to do my own photography for the paintings. Acrylic and oil on canvas are the mediums that are used. I have experimented with mixed media such as digital, but I prefer the traditional method of painting at this time.

Thank you for reading this, and I hope you will view my paintings.
