I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, but I grew up a very beautiful town called Villa de Leyva. Since a child arts surround me, from my father a great photographer, Calligrapher and graphic designer, to the every day surprising beauty of Villa welcoming artists of any type.
Together with my brother we used to help my father and he at his time help us in the creation of our first own works. In this way we were learning the secrets and technics of the workshop, from wood carving to the precise and delicate manipulation of the photographic films. Every day I learned something since the workshop was our home.
For a four years period I lived in Florence, Italy, with my uncle, aunt and little cousins. Was a very nice time. I learned a lot there with the thousands of great works in the museums, and admiring the magnificent architecture of the old city. There I finished the ''Liceo Artistico'' (High School on Arts), and studied Illustration for two years in the International School of Comics. Quite important for me was to live and learn indirectly from my uncle, a painter that I really admire.
Coming back to Colombia I continued the work with my father now dedicated completely to the painting. Under his instruction I started a long period of drawing classes and then the incorporation of painting. This was a very special and joyful time for me.
In the moment I'm in the northern city of Trieste, again in Italy, with my husband and continuing by my self to put in practice all I've learnt and learn every single day.
