Véronique Champier - Enter the gallery

A self-taught painter, she has been drawing since childhood.

As a student at the Fine Arts’ School of Troyes, she learned various techniques of applying paint, pigment, color and other mediums.

For many years she only used gouache and/or oil painting.

In 1994, she discovered dry pastels under Mr Vauchez.

The color effect of dry pastels is closer to natural dry pigments. She was seduced by the immediacy of the effect and chose dry pastels above all else.

In 1995 Mr Vauchez encouraged her to prepare her first portraits exhibition.

Portraits, animals, women, flowers and colochynth are her main source of inspiration.

She has also produced various works of graphics design during her working life.
