 Born inadvertently, he quickly understood that life is a two-way mirror. The most sophisticated is to choose one side of it. Most of the time he choose to watch what he saw in front of it, rather than look at himself thru it.
Being for two years at " Beaux Arts " high school in Bordeaux as sculptor free student, he tried to earn money as stone carver ( what proudly attitude! ) but that was not successful.
Today his way of carving is an expression mark. There is no heavenly instigation in his work but rather a way of non-violent regurgitation with any obligingness.The raw material mixing he makes, both alchemy inquisitiveness and mechanical challenge are part of his accomplishement.
If it were necessary to give a name to his style, we would name it " Firain " style.
His representational art drives us to see the essential things no matter the subject.
