I discovered wood carving by chance about 15 years ago by using a gouge of my grand father, warned handyman. I realized a marguerite on a pine's broad. So nothing extraordinary, but I liked immediatly the wood work : concentration, precision, expression, creativity... It is naturally imposed on me.
For many years, I tapped wood, without any technique or training in the field and with, it must be said, disappointing results, for lack of structured learning and advice from professionals in the industry.
Chance (and also a little perseverance) put me on the road to associations of wood carvers and stone carvers. Since then, thanks to their help, I can develop my ideas and transform them into a real project.
Ideas come to me like this: at a meeting, talking, watching TV or flipping through a book. On the basis of ideas sketched on a piece of paper, I then try to shape, as faithfully as possible, an arabesque, a human body ... Often the wood reminds me that we should not try to do everything at any price and know how to adapt. A true school of humility.
In recent years, I have also discovered painting. It also has an infinite number of discoveries.
I learn from day to day, by little touches.
Now it's up to you to judge ...
